Smart Contracts, a Law + Technology Perspective by Thibault Schrepel
This study, released by the European Commission, is quite an interesting read. It tries to make sense of blockchain(s), smart contracts and their legal implication in the current 'Digital Single Market'.
- Smart contracts in the EU Data Act (Alexander Schmalenberger, TaylorWessing)
Now, this is absolutely huge / controversial. It imposes smart contracts (that make data available) to be stoppable. So... basically, all oracles *shall* be redesigned (but how?) or else they will infringe the law. #dataact @CoinDesk @Cointelegraph @decryptmedia pic.twitter.com/AZMOoKTsi6— Thibault Schrepel (@ProfSchrepel) February 25, 2022
